Mrs. Teneriello, our School Librarian, has created this how-to video explaining the process for checking out library books online.

Hey Everyone, it's Mrs. T! I wanted to go over how you can order books so that way you can read at home all the great books that are in the Wild Rose library. So, I'm going to show you how to do it. Here is our website coming up and and I will show you right now. So here it is over here so you can see so this is a link that was sent to you and to your family on parent square and all you have to do is click the link go right to this website and this is our catalog this shows you all of the books that we have in our library and right here where it says login you don't have to do that don't even have to do that all you need to do search type in what you want to read. A lot of people love to read books about snakes so let's type in snakes. That is what we want to read about these are all of our types of snakes. Let's say we want to read about poisonous snakes so click Poisonous Snakes and you click right here and all the books are going to come up these are all the poisonous snake books that we have in the library. Now, the important part to look at next is this little triangle that says "In". That means that this book called "S-s-s-snakes" is in the library. It is available you can send me a note and let me know that this is the book you want and then I'll have it ready for you in the office. We also have a book about copperheads that is in. Here's another book that says let's find out about snakes now it doesn't have any information here which means we don't have it in our library maybe another Library might have it but Wild Rose does not have that book elephant ears cottonmouths we have it here is diamondback rattlesnakes it says out meaning someone else has that book right now and as soon as they're done with it they will return it I'll check it in and then it will stay in the right now you couldn't get the diamondback rattlesnake book because someone else has it cuz it says out so you can just go down and see there's a lot of books available we only have a few families that are checking out books right now so all of these books are available as long as it says in then is it it's in the library you can come and get it so I just wanted to show you this one more time how this catalog works and you came I'll get more information about the book so say you want to find out more about this Copperhead book you can click on it and it's going to give you a lot more information about the copperhead book it says that it's in right there and then over here it shows you some more books about copperheads that are related to what you are looking for so it shows you all the information that you need about copperheads so there's all these great things that we have here so wanted to let you know about that I move this year so then you just X out of this and you can find some more books about snakes never we are looking for poisonous snake what state you're done looking at snakes now you want to learn about maybe you want to read a Magic Tree House book you type in Magic Tree House all in all the books Treehouse we don't know which book you want to read we want to look at them all so we typed in Magic Tree House you click here all the books, and remember you have to look for the end if it says it's in that it's here in Waterbury we have a lot of Magic Treehouse books now this one midnight on the moon this one has no information so we don't have it but this one is in we do have it and remember if it says out that means someone else is reading it right now so right now someone is reading mummies in the morning soon as it comes back you'll be able to check it out so here all the Magic Tree House books and then we have some of them we don't have they have pictures sometimes they don't so I just wanted to let you know how this works and then all you have to do is send me a note of the three books that you would like to read and your parents have all my information you just said a quick email three books of what you would like to read then I send the email back when your books are ready usually the next day sometimes two days if it's a weekend and then you let me know when you're going to be coming and I can meet you on the curb or can just come into the office and we need to call the office first so we know you're coming and then you can get some great books and then when you're done reading them send me another note with some new books and we just swap them around so I want to make sure that everyone gets a chance to read them book so hope you enjoy that and read read read and then of course you have to read some more right always see you next time .
